We will build a working model railroad and SOMEBODY will get to take it home with them!\nThere are five slots only in this activity. We will:\n– Select a board. Paint it or cover it in preparation for the track.\n– Learn about different types of model train track.\n– Build track including a siding and ballast.\n– Connect a power pack and run the train!\n– Learn how model train cars and engines work.\n– Install a building and put lights in it so it can light up.\n– Learn how to do basic wiring.\n– Learn how to do basic scenery.\n– Plaster\, glue\, paint\, and have a messy good time!\nEverybody takes home a gift from HobbyTown.\nAt the end of the series\, we will hold a drawing and give the layout away to one of the participants!\nPrice is $50 for six sessions ($10 per night).\nIncludes two months’ membership in the San Luis Valley Model RR Club.\nTO SIGN UP:\nSign Up at HobbyTown by making a $50 donation to the San Luis Valley Model RR club. Spaces are allocated based on your date of reservation and payment. To get a registration form\, simply pick one up at HobbyTown or email Tammy at bigvalleyhobbies@gmail.com to have one sent to you electronically. \nNot everybody has the same size setup. Vendor space is priced and allocated as follows:\n$25 per space.\n$10 to rent a table and chair (s)\, or you can bring your own.\nEach space is about 8×8′\, which is suitable for one 8′ table\, chairs\, and some room behind. If you intend to have more than one table or your setup extends beyond the expected space you will need to rent a second space.\nDoors open for setup at 7am on the day of the fair\nSetup time is available Friday evening from 6pm to 8pm as well. \n100% of registration fees go to advertising and operating the craft fair for the benefit of our local business people. HobbyTown is happy to host\, coordinate\, and assist and provides this service “one local business to another”. \nThe marketing plan for this year includes many of the same elements as last year including radio\, digital\, and social advertising buys. SUMMARY:Build a Working Model Railroad
DESCRIPTION:HobbyTown and the San Luis Valley Model RR club are teaming up to show you and your family how easy it is to build a nice simple easy to handle home model railroad. We will build a working model railroad and SOMEBODY will get to take it home with them!\nThere are five slots only in this activity. We will:\n– Select a board. Paint it or cover it in preparation for the track.\n– Learn about different types of model train track.\n– Build track including a siding and ballast.\n– Connect a power pack and run the train!\n– Learn how model train cars and engines work.\n– Install a building and put lights in it so it can light up.\n– Learn how to do basic wiring.\n– Learn how to do basic scenery.\n– Plaster\, glue\, paint\, and have a messy good time!\nEverybody takes home a gift from HobbyTown.\nAt the end of the series\, we will hold a drawing and give the layout away to one of the participants!\nPrice is $50 for six sessions ($10 per night).\nIncludes two months’ membership in the San Luis Valley Model RR Club.\nTO SIGN UP:\nSign Up at HobbyTown by making a $50 donation to the San Luis Valley Model RR club.
